Funerals at
Bethel United Church
We extend our condolences for the loss of your loved one.
At this time there are many decisions you must make.
In offering our support in your time of grief, we hope to answer some of your questions concerning the church’s involvement in the funeral arrangements.
The Minister will provide assistance and guidance in preparing the funeral.
The Minister will also be in contact with the funeral home in making arrangements.
A schedule of fees was approved by Bethel United Church Council (April, 2008), and are as follows:
$75.00 – Organist
$60.00 – Soloist
$50.00 – Custodian
The Bethel Church Choir:
Although the choir is volunteer, a donation is always appreciated and helps to purchase new music.
The United Church Women will provide a lunch following the service, if you wish.
Their Suggested Guidelines for catering to funeral lunches are as follows:
The U.C.W. asks the family to pay for catering expenses, plus a suggested donation of $1.50 per person (for fruit bread, dainties, pickles, cheese, beverages) or $2.00 per person (for open-faced sandwiches or buns, pickles, cheese, dainties, tea, coffee and juice).
